Swiss Press Award 2017 - News

YEAH! I’m really proud to announce that I got the first prize of the Swiss Press Award 2017 in the category News with my picture of flamingos during the bird flu in Switzerland current November 2016.

More information here!

These flamingos at the Dählhölzli Animal Park in Berne on 17th November 2016 are not shut inside this greenhouse to protect them from the cold, but from the bird flu. The reason for the quarantine are enhanced biosecurity requirements, according to which, certain bird species are to be safeguarded from any exposure to potentially contagious wild birds faeces.
